William King

William G. (Bill) King of Gulf Breeze, FL died peacefully on Monday June 9th 2014. Mr. King was born on April 30th 1923 in Wilmington, NC. He attended New Hanover High School and graduated from The University of North Carolina in 1955 with a BS in Business Administration. He worked his entire career for the Union Oil Company (formerly Pure Oil) and retired in 1985. He was very active in the Civitans and in his local church, being a dedicated, lifelong member of both. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, and the company of good friends. He joins his beloved wife Pattie S. King in heaven. He leaves behind son Jeff King and wife Charla, of Cocoa Beach; son William G. (Bill) King, Jr. and wife Cathy of St. Petersburg; granddaughter Abby King; grandson JJ King; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Bill King, a great family man and friend lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed. Funeral arrangements are through Rose Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday June 12th at 11AM at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Gulf Breeze.
