Renee Hendricks

August 12, 1929 — March 27, 2019

Renee Overlade Hendricks of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on the 27th of March in Covenant Hospice at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Renee was born in Logan, Utah in 1929 to Jack and Ella Cowley. She attended Logan High School and Utah State University. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and was the Sweetheart of Sigma Chi her freshman year. She was also part of the Military Sponsor team.

She was married to Dan C. Overlade in 1949 and he proceeded her in death. She married again in 1998 to Marvin Tal Hendricks and he proceeded her in death.

Renee had 4 sons, Kurt (Pat) Overlade, Kevin Overlade (preceded her in death), Keith (Melissa) Overlade and Karl Overlade. She also loved and enjoyed her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Renee was a long time resident of Gulf Breeze and raised her family there. She had numerous friends and spent time with them golfing, playing bridge, poker and bowling. She loved to keep busy and volunteered for many years at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. She also worked at several local businesses, including Ryles Clothing Store, Elite Repeats, The Moorings and The Treasure Chest. She really enjoyed meeting people and helping customers with their choices.

Flowers may be sent to Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, FL. Visitation will be Thursday, April 4th at 5:00 p.m. and immediately followed by a celebration of life service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Cancer Institute in memory of Renee.

Renee was loved by so many family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
