Patricia Flanagan Johnson, 80, passed away on March 16, 2017 at her home in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
Patricia was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 05, 1936. Her aspiration from an early age was to marry and raise a family. She worked tirelessly and enthusiastically at being the best mother possible and defined selflessness to not only her children but all she met. Her titles included Room Mother, Den Mother, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Vacation Bible School Teacher. She made it a point to insure her children's birthdays were extraordinary, hosting parties that included cake, ice cream and an exhilarating game of pin-the-tail on the donkey. As her children grew older she opened her own residential cleaning business, this profession left her with ample time to be a devoted grandmother. After moving to Florida she became a dedicated member of the community, participating in the neighborhood homeowners association and "The Mustard Seeds" her church small group. She filled her days working in her yard, loving her pets, visiting with her neighbors and spending as much time on the beach as possible.
Ms. Johnson is survived by her children, son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Pam Johnson; her daughter LeeAnne Skewes, her sisters Dot Kachelhofer, and Francis Sanders, grandchildren Jessica Carter , Nick Skewes, Graham Johnson, Andrew Skewes and Russell Johnson, great-grandchildren Jane and Julie Carter.
The funeral is scheduled for 3:00 March 18th at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, Florida with visitation starting at 2:00, all are welcome to attend.
