Nyna Schuessler

It is with great sadness that the family of Nyna Lee Schuessler (née Pruitt) announces her passing on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the age of 83 years.

Nyna was born on March 15, 1935 in Glencoe, Alabama to Charles and Erma Pruitt. She was the youngest of 4 siblings. Nyna grew up in Glencoe before moving to Fort Walton Beach, Florida after high school. After meeting in Florida, she married the love of her life, Harry Schuessler, in 1954. The couple settled in Oshkosh, Wisconsin where they raised their three children; Charles, Sherie, and Thomas. The family would vacation in Florida and the Fort Walton Beach area became a second home for them.

Nyna was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to Elvis, cooking (including her family famous chili), crocheting, gardening, and vacationing in Florida.

Nyna was the beloved wife of Harry and loving mother of Charles, Sherie, and Thomas (Tomi Jo). She was the cherished "Nanny" of Michael (Marissa), Jessica (Scott), David, Caitlin (Aaron), and Simone and the adored great-grandmother of Allison, Lena, and Evelyn. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Clara and Charlotte, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nyna was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Erma; and siblings Betty, Thomas ("Jack"), and Sara.

She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

There will be a memorial service for Nyna in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in late December.
