Eugene Rhodes

Early morning on April 1st, surrounded by family, Gene completed his journey on Earth and was welcomed into Heaven. A long time resident of Gulf Breeze, Gene was a staple at St. Ann's Saturday Mass, along with his wife of 43 years, Dianne Lewis Rhodes, whom he adored. With a successful 39-year career at AT&T, Gene and Dianne were blessed with three beautiful children, Chris, Randy and Stephanie. Gene loved being a Father and enjoyed watching his children grow into adults, always offering support and love. Gene spent his days enjoying retirement with Dianne, embracing technology (he was a techie before it was cool!) and, of course, snapping pictures of his grandchildren! Above all, Gene adored his loving wife, and their marriage was a beautiful example of true love and companionship. Gene is preceded in death by his grandson, Brock Andrew Rhodes, his mother, Amber Roch, Uncles, Emile and Tuffy Roch, Aunt Elizabeth Roch, and other relatives. Gene leaves behind his wife, Dianne Lewis Rhodes, sons, Chris (Jessica) Rhodes, Randy (Angela) Rhodes, daughter, Stephanie Rhodes, brother, John Clow, grandchildren, Chris, Bella and Violet Rhodes, and a new grandchild, who will join us in June 2014. As we celebrate his Eternal Birthday, we will miss him dearly, but we know we will meet again. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 4th at St. Ann Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
