Elise Evans

Elise "Sam" Marie Evans, age 74, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on January 23, 2019 in Pensacola, FL. Born in June 1944 in Callicoon, NY.

Raised in North Branch, NY. After high school, she began her travel adventures with federal civil service assignments to Iceland and South Korea. While working in Washington, DC she married a Naval Officer, which took her to the Palau Islands. Elise was an avid SCUBA diver, enjoyed beachcombing, baking, and volunteering in schools and at the Gulf Breeze Library.

She was preceded in death by parents Walter C. and Grace E. Vogler and brother Richard W. Vogler.

Elise is survived by her husband William Evans, daughter Angela Evans of Pensacola, FL, son Alexander Evans of Lynn Haven, FL, her two sisters Joan Tibbitts of NY and Barbara Hess of Raleigh, NC and brother William Vogler of Mayer, AZ, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many close friends.

Elise wished to be cremated and to have a private celebration of life with her close family.
