Dale D. Reynolds, Sr., 77, passed away on December 3, 2018 in Pensacola, FL.
Dale was born on April 18, 1941 in Volga Iowa. He grew up fishing, working on farms, and learning to play guitar and other instruments. His family moved to Tempe Arizona during his high school years where he joined the brass section of the Tempe High School band. There he became lifelong friends with Ruben Vizzerra who would introduce Dale to his wife. Dale and Mary Helen (Vizzerra) Reynolds were married on September 3, 1961.
Dale worked hard and provided for his young family by taking various jobs. Dale spent 25 years working for Greyhound Bus Lines. When that job ended in the early eighties, he worked for the Roosevelt School District and put himself through school to become an industrial electrician. He worked for the Issac School District and was able to retire in 2003. He moved to Navarre Florida to be near his son and family.
Throughout his life, Dale had a great love for music. He played various instruments in several bands and groups, including church and mariachi. He was a member of the Spanish Choir at St. Catherine's Parish in Phoenix AZ for many years before moving to Navarre where he joined the choir at St. Sylvester.
Dale is predeceased by his parents, Harry W. Reynolds and Fern Meader Reynolds, and his brother Charles E. Reynolds.
Dale is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Helen Reynolds of Navarre, Florida; daughter, Deena Anderson (Bruce) of Hayden, Idaho; son, Dale D. Reynolds, Jr. (Yolanda); brother, Russell Reynolds of Oregon; and grandsons, granddaughters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on December 14, 2018 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Small reception to follow in the parish hall. Interment will be at a later date.
