Beverly Cleveland

Beverly Baggett Cleveland, age 76, of Gulf Breeze, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. Beverly was born on January 13, 1938 in Mobile, AL. She graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile. While in Mobile, she was a member of numerous social organizations. She spent her summers growing up at her family bay house in Pt. Clear, AL. on Mobile Bay. She was an accomplished swimmer, winning numerous swim meets at The Grand Hotel in Pt. Clear. She also taught ballet. She attended Auburn University and was an avid fan. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. It was here that she met and married her first love, the late William Marion Weston, Sr. They moved from Pt. Clear to Gulf Breeze in 1963. They were married for 37 years until the death of "Big Billy". Beverly was very active in her church, Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, which she loved with all her heart. It was here that she met and married her second love, Mr. Harry Cleveland. They were married on March 27, 2004. She and Harry were very active in the community, delivering food for Meals on Wheels and volunteering at Gulf Breeze Hospital, just to name two. Beverly and Harry loved to travel and vary rarely missed Thursday night "wing night" with their friends at Sidelines. She always had a smile on her face and put everyone else's needs ahead of her own. She never met a stranger. Beverly is survived by her husband Harry Cleveland, sons Billy (Laura) Weston , Lee (Leigh Ann) Weston and grandson Will Weston. She is also survived by her Cleveland family who welcomed her as their own.Children Bob (Debi) Cleveland, Dave (Lisa) Cleveland and Carol (C.J.) Smith. Grandchildren Kent Cleveland, Scott (Stacy) Cleveland, Grey Cleveland, Matt (Amanda) Smith, Kaely (Jon) Frye, Lauren Cleveland and Carleigh Cleveland. Great Grandchildren Amelia Frye, Caroline Frye and Chandler Smith. She is preceded in death by William M. Weston Sr. and her parents Clarence and Mary Virginia Baggett. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Nutan DeJoubner and the entire staff and volunteers at Gulf Breeze Hospital. Services will be Tuesday June 24, 2014 at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Visitation begins at 12:00, service at 1:00 with a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to one of the following: Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church 75 Fairpoint Drive, Gulf Breeze, FL. 32561, United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Florida 2912 N. E Street, Pensacola, FL. 32501 or a charity of your choice.
