Xander Thomas Ballmann, beautiful and adored son of Z and Tommy Ballmann, 07/02/03 – 08/10/20.
Xan the Man lived what he loved. Swimming, water sports, push-ups, his doggos, scary movies, coaches, teammates, friends and family. Xander also loved giant steaks, Vladi Tarasenko, the beach, and driving his car, but not necessarily in that order. He hated homework, speed limits, spiders, and cleaning his room, but probably in that order. He lived a life of “Xanderisms” such as, always wear a hoodie and jeans in a Florida summer as you might catch a chill, or any sport played in an arena like hockey or soccer can also be brought into the family room. For all his non-stop energy and perpetual charm, Xander had a gentle soul. His magnetic smile could get him out of any ounce of trouble with Mom or Dad. Xander never meant any harm, he was just Xander being Xander. He took fashion and hair cues from no one.
In honor of Xander’s amazing memory there will be a sunset memorial service on Saturday, August 22nd, 6:15 PM, at the snorkeling entrance at the east end of Park East parking lot, Pensacola Beach. It is requested that family and friends gather to celebrate his life dressed in bright beachy clothes (Xander style) as he is released in the Gulf so he can forever swim.
In Lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to “the Just Keep Swimming Xander Memorial Fund” (Memo Line) to
