Wilma Elaine Wright was born on May 5, 1936 to Lou Ella Garrett Wright and Charles Murphy Wright in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was the third of four daughters.
Wilma graduated from Franklin High School and became Secretary to Circuit Court Judge W.J. Smith. She worked for Judge Smith for a decade and loved him like a father. In 1967, she married Robert B. Claud and moved to Huntsville, Alabama where she had two sons, Robert, Jr. and Scott M. Claud.
In 1979, the family moved to Pensacola, Florida where she was very active with her sons’ sports, Church and Community events. She was a warm, loving mother and Christian who would not tolerate cruelty towards any person or creature. She loved family, friends, music, exercising, and animals.
Wilma would help everyone she could. Often, adopting strays and working or giving to charities. As a terrific cook, she was always gifting meals to neighbors and friends. She adored her late husband, (who passed in 2014), her two sons, her grandchild, Victoria Perry Mires, and her great-grandchild, Shea Perry Mires.
Wilma was all Love! She was as beautiful a Lady inside as she was on the outside. She will be greatly missed by all who’s lives she touched!
