William Smithey

William Troy (Bill) Smithey passed away peacefully at his home in Gulf Breeze on Thursday morning, August 6, 2009. He was 75. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Donna Jean; devoted daughter Cindy Smithey and his adoring grandson/namesake William of Navarre; sister Linda Walker and brothers Tommy Smithey and Paul Smithey of Mississippi; and his chosen "family" Tom and Karen Dicus and "grandchildren" Stacy, Sandy and John. Visitation will be at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, Friday 6:00 - 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Gulf Breeze where he previously served as Deacon and Sunday school teacher. Rev. Tom Dicus and Rev. Jeff Spooneybarger will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, www.Diabetes.org
