William Grimsley

Bill “Poppy” Grimsley went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. He was preceded in death by his son, Glen Avery Grimsley, parents, Drewry and Angus McLean, great grandson, Preston Grimsley and granddaughter, Cecily Grimsley. Poppy is survived by his wife, Mary Kate Grimsley, son, William Blake (Eileen) Grimsley, daughters, Lisa Grimsley Wilson and Alaine Grimsley, son, William Dana (Taka) Grimsley, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a man of humor and his comical personality was passed down through the generations and was able to make people laugh, no matter the situation. Bill was a Veteran of the Korean War and a father of five. Thank you for the many years of laughter. Rest in peace, William Grimsley, aka Poppy, until we meet again. A time of visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, a funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with burial to follow the services in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
