William Goodman Iii

William "Cody" Alvin Goodman III, 17, beloved son and brother, is resting peacefully after passing away on December 24, 2013. Compassionate and gentle, he was loved by many and touched people's lives with all his heart and loving soul. Living life as an active teenager and popular with his friends, he loved skateboarding, gaming, snowboarding, mountain climbing, surfing, and gourmet cooking. Cody was a whiz at math. He was a volunteer at a community garden and the Waterfront Mission. The son of Katherine and William Goodman Jr., and sister of Ashley Victoria Goodman, Cody is remembered for the laughter and joy he brought to all who knew him. Although his demise was sudden, the family finds solace in knowing he is at rest. As Cody would say, "peace out." Born in Colorado Spring, Colorado on June 14, 1996, he is survived by his parents, sister, aunt, uncles, and grandparents. Since 2004 Cody had lived in Gulf Breeze and attended Gulf Breeze High School. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, Gulf Breeze, Florida at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Visitors welcome at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions in Cody's name to a scholarship program at a college or university of choice.
