A writer once said fishing is a condition of the mind wherein one cannot have a bad time. That is how William "Billy" Forrest Biggs, Sr. lived his life. He spent his life making sure everyone around him felt the same way.
He loved Boats, Buffet, Busch, and Nascar racing. Born in Pensacola, Florida on August 8, 1956 he graduated from Gulf Breeze High School. Shortly after graduation he wed his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Denise. Billy joined Utility Service Co., he and Denise grew their family with their son William Forrest Biggs Jr., and their daughter Chelsie Biggs O'Leary. He died at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
Billy had a great smile, was in good humor all the time and was a very go- with- the- flow kind of guy. He loved his family and friends without judgment. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. Everything was Fine & Dandy if he had anything to say about it.
You could find him on a boat or on the ball field coaching boys and girls baseball and softball. He spent his time nurturing his Myer lemon trees and elephant ear plants in the backyard and he had a healthy turtle population. He was often making crafts for Denise and making his famous "fish log".
He is preceded in death by his parents William Parmelee Biggs and Peggy Joy Smith Biggs, his brother-in-law Ed Myers, and his niece Ashley Solice.
He leaves here to keep fishing, his wife Denise Marie Biggs, his daughter Chelsie Biggs O'Leary, her husband Matthew James O'Leary and his pride and joy his Grandson Rowan James O'Leary. He also leaves his son William Forrest Biggs Jr., his wife Stephanie Biggs and their son Patrick. He leaves two sisters Sharon Biggs Mosley and her husband Al, her daughter Brittany Ortega and son, Kyle Mosley as well as Janet Biggs Myers, and her daughters Kristin Myers-Watts and Amanda Myers and seven great nieces and nephews.
As special thank you goes out to Janet Biggs Myers and her daughter Kristin Myers-Watts for all their endless support. Also, to hospice nurses Amanda D, Amanda V and Mindi a special debt of gratitude, and the entire Utility Service Co. family.
Until we meet again Billy Biggs, Keep Cadillacing On and so will we!
