Warren Anderson

October 17, 1921 — June 2, 2011

Warren G. Anderson, age 89, Gulf Breeze, was called to be with the Lord on June 2, 2011. He was under the care of the attentive staff of The Blake Assisted Living and Emerald Coast Hospice. Warren is preceded in death by his wife Marge Lout Anderson; Betty Enriquez, the wife of his 3 children; parents, Henry and Emma Anderson; one sister ; and six brothers. Warren is survived by his daughter Angel Humphrey (Mac), sons Nick and Thomas of Gulf Breeze, FL; daughter Karen Walker, daughter Kristen, of Norman, Oklahoma; son Tony Anderson(Duane), son Collin, of Phoenix, Arizona; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved each member of his family with all of his heart. Born October 17, 1921, in Centrahoma, Oklahoma, Warren spent much of his life in south central Oklahoma and the Arlington, Texas areas. He spent time in Germany during post war time in the Army Air Corp assisting in transporting troops back to the United States. After leaving the Army Air Corps, he returned to Velma, Oklahoma , to manage a family owned grocery store for over 40 years, until his retirement in 1986. Throughout his life, Warren was blessed to have many opportunities to travel throughout the United States and abroad. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. He loved the Lord and was active in many ministries. He loved making new friends and talking with them "like he had known them all of his life". A memorial service will be held Monday, June 6, 2011, at 7:00 pm, at Midway Baptist Church, 5471 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze. Burial will follow in Velma, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, Warren's family requests donations to Emerald Coast Hospice, 4212 Highway 90, Pace, Florida 32571, or Emerald Coast Honor Flight, 8668 Navarre Parkway, #139, Navarre, Florida, 32566. Warren's family would like to thank The Blake Assisted Living, Emerald Coast Hospice, Gulf Breeze Hospital, Veteran's Home Based Primary Care from the Joint Ambulatory Care Center and Dr. Jeffrey Ellington for the wonderful care they have provided for Warren.
