Vincent S Liquori, 89, of Navarre passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born on August 10, 1924 in Hackensack, New Jersey and resided in Navarre for 14 years. An engineer most of his life, he retired selling real estate in Orlando before moving to Navarre. Vincent was a proud American and served his country in WWII. The PFC 1st Class was a gunner on the 60mm mortar. He served in France and Germany with the 7th Army, 63rd Infantry Division, 253rd Regiment, I Company. He was wounded and sent to Walter Reed Hospital. His division was in Heidelberg at the end of the war. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elinor and son, Fred Liquori. Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ellen Crump, son-in-law, Fred Crump, Gerry De Celle, grandchildren, Christina Strength and Vincent Crump and numerous other friends and relatives. Vincent will be sorely missed by all. Services will be held at 1:15 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Dr. Owera, People's Home Health Care Staff, Gulf Breeze Hospital Emergency Room and CCU doctors and nurses for their loving and compassionate care they gave to Vincent in his final days.
