Thomas Cox

Thomas Edward Cox, known affectionately as Tommy, passed away August 29, 2024, at the age of 71, in Navarre, FL., with his loving wife by his side. Born on November 17, 1952, at Eglin Air Force Base, he lived a life marked by the warmth of his personality and his kind demeanor. Tommy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce Brown Cox ; our children Nitasha, Billy, and Patrick; five Grandchildren, Jason, Jr, Jacob, Ethan, Emma, and Savannah; siblings, Jean Bunch (Jim), Joseph Cox (Amy), Carlene Lewis, (William), Tina Clanton (Brian) and Johnie Cox; nieces and nephews, Jamie Cortijo (Jorge), Brian Bunch, Carla Lewis, Phillip Lewis, Steven Lewis, Nicholas Clanton, and Daniel Clanton and several great nieces and nephews; his sister in law, Cheri Morris, brother in Law, Trae Brown, and special friends who were like family, Amber, and her children, Tyler, Dak, and Aleena. 

Tommy was preceded in death by Grandparents, Charlie and Etta Robbins, Mother, Mary E. Cox, Son, Jason Cox, and a daughter who passed away before birth. 

Services will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Rose Lawn Chapel at 2942 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze, FL. Visitation begins at 1:00 pm with services to follow at 2:00 pm.  Flowers will be accepted by Rose Lawn or our family home.

There will be a Celebration of Tommy's Life on Saturday September 7, 2024 from 11:00 - 1:00 at Tommy's Snoballs at 8603 Navarre Pkwy, Navarre, FL. Everyone is welcome, and anyone wishing to share a story about Tommy will be offered the podium. Food will be provided.
