Theresa Mazzio

Theresa Marie Mazzio (Peltier) of Navarre, Florida was called home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2023.  She was born October 21, 1948, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to the late Norbert and June Peltier.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Barry Peltier and Michael Peltier; as well as her sister, Gladys  Tedlock (Peltier).

Theresa loved sewing, embroidery, knitting and gardening.  She could grow anything… anywhere.  She was a loving, caring, and giving daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Michael Mazzio of Navarre, FL; son, Mickey (Patti) Mazzio of Naples, FL; son, Joe Mazzio of Mt. Clemens, MI; daughter, Angie Mazzio of Pensacola, FL; son, Peter Mazzio of Navarre, FL; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Reeves of Mt. Clemens, MI; sister, Ann (Bob) Provencher of Mt. Clemens, MI; brother, Mark Peltier of Roseville, MI; and sister, Jennifer Peltier of New Baltimore, MI.

A devout Catholic, Theresa’s loving, and generous spirit continues to touch lives.  It was her desire that when she passed on, that her body be donated to science.  We, as a family, are comforted in our loss knowing that countless others will benefit from her precious gift.  Her body will be donated to the University of Florida College of Medicine and her ashes will be laid to rest where she grew up in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
