Terry Watson

Terry Watson, (67), of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on February 17, 2024.  Terry passed peacefully at home with her husband, Donald Watson, by her side.

Terry was born on July 18, (1956), the youngest daughter to Rosie and Jack Thompson (who have since deceased) in Pensacola, Florida.  She is survived by her older sister, Jackie Thompson.  After Terry graduated from high school (1974), Terry went to work at the local courthouse transcribing court documents.  Terry was a faithful member of a local church where she met her future husband, Donald Watson.  Donald, served in the United States Navy and was passing through Pensacola.  Love at first sight led to a quick wedding and a long-lasting marriage.  Terry was excited by the prospect of overseas travel and ended up enjoying the military life.  She accompanied her husband to many different countries and immensely enjoyed the vast cultural experiences each country offered, including running with the bulls in Arcos de la Frontera, Spain. 

Terry built a life and family together with her husband and two children (Jessica Pineda & Evan Watson).  She was a dedicated mother who prioritized God and family above all else.  She embodied all the characteristics described in Proverbs 31 of a virtuous woman.  She exemplified the best qualities of motherhood and loved her children and grandchildren (Robbie, David, Adriana, Liliana and Avery) wholeheartedly and without judgment.

Terry had the privilege of being a stay-at home mom.  Terry was known by mom to many, including many of the neighborhood children at various military bases she resided.  She was always kind-hearted and generous with her time.  When her adult children began their own families, she volunteered to help watch the grandbabies.   She will be missed deeply by her family, until the time comes that we all will meet her again at the pearly gates of heaven.
