Sue Killinger

February 17, 1937 — October 9, 2015

Sue Arden Killinger, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2015. She was born in New Orleans, LA on February 17, 1937. Sue, a graduate of Pensacola High School's class of 1954, attended Tulane University. Known to many as "Toots", Sue defined the meaning of family through her relentless passion, commitment and love for family. Her life, her legacy, is deeply rooted in her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Toots was completely committed to the job of raising her family...she just never quit teaching and inspiring each of us. When her health was impacted, our individual relationships and friendships inspired her to keep fighting round after round. Nothing kept her going like her family. She always said, "I am blessed" but we all know, we are the ones who are blessed. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, John Freeman Arden and Sue Morrell Fulghum, and by her daughter Susan Elizabeth Rosasco. Sue is survived by the love of her life and her husband of 34 years, D.E. "Gene" Killinger and her children: Diane (Blair) Supplee, Priscilla (Rick) Joffrion, Cynthia (Allen) Latimer, Christine (Bruce) Neu, Will Rosasco, John Rosasco, Lisa (Ron) Farmer, Lori (Greg) Globetti, Clarence Killinger; grandchildren, Ashley Mooneyham, Tommy Akers, Arden Armbruster, Liza Meyers, Kady Meyers, Matthew Latimer, Savannah Latimer and Caleb Globetti; great granddaughter Daylin Mooneyham; brother, John (Marian) Arden; sister-in-law, June Ramsey and niece, Kelly (Michael) MacLeod; nephew, Will Ramsey. A private family memorial was held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Sue Killinger may be made to the Gulf Coast Kid's House, 3401 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503 or Coastline Calvary Chapel, 1122 Oriole Beach Rd, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. The family is appreciative to the ICU staff and doctors at Gulf Breeze Baptist Hospital and to Covenant Hospice for their attentive and professional care. We would also like to acknowledge, Dr. Jay Erickson and his nurse, Sabol for the wonderful care provided over the years. In closing, Sue would have politely said, "Thank you." Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze. You may offer condolences, share memories and sign the guestbook at www.roselawn-fh.com
