Steven Winfrey of Pensacola- age 56 passed away March 23, 2020 at the Santa Rosa Health and Rehabilitation Center in Milton, Florida after a 15 year battle with MS.
He was born March 3, 1964 in Harbor City, California to Duane and Tommie Winfrey of Navarre, Florida.
He is survived by two daughters, Caitlin Winfrey of Pensacola and Tessa Oderfer and husband Chris Oderfer of Coupeville, Washington and his new granddaughter Stevie born on this past Easter Sunday.
He is also survived by his two sisters Peggie Bosso and husband Chris of Pensacola, and Angela Mason and Husband Tom of Loveland, Colorado, as well as six nieces and nephews.
Prior to his illness Steve Worked in the produce Department at Delchamps and later Bruno’s in Gulf Breeze. He was active in the Pensacola Punk scene helping book shows and wrote one of the first punk zines. He was also a charter member of the IWW and helped secure produce for the punk community for many years. He was a kind soul who loved his girls and instilled in them a great work ethic and a love of literature.
