Steven Bourque

Steven Bourque, 53, of Gulf Breeze passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Dec. 26 at home. Born on April 19, 1957 in Chicopee, MA, he was the son of Connie (Paquette) and the late Donald Bourque. He graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive H. S. in 1975. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1975 to 1979 and moved to FL in 1980. He attained an associate's degree in physical therapy from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1984 and practiced physical therapy for over twenty years. He enjoyed his family and friends and was an avid boater and craftsman. Besides his mother in MA, he leaves his wife of 21 years, Nila (Morris), his son Adam, two brothers, John & Paul, two sisters, Joan Archambault (husband Gary) & Amy Bourque, his mother-in-law, Sarah Morris and brother-in-law Cary Morris, two nephews, four nieces and one great-niece. A funeral service will be on Thurs. Dec. 30 at 12:30 at Barrancas National Cemetery. There are no visitation hours. Rose Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. At the family's request in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Adam Bourque Scholarship Fund at Wachovia Bank, 21 E Garden St., Pensacola, FL 32501, attention Tammy Davies.
