Stephen Cowles

Stephen A Cowles, age 70 of Navarre, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife Haydee in 2005. 1st Sergeant, Stephen A Cowles, volunteered for service in the U.S. Army in 1962. He served his country with honor and distinction serving 3 tours in Vietnam, culminating in a 25 year service record in the U.S. Military. He served in Asia, Europe and throughout the Continental United States. The Meritorious Service Medal, The National Defense Medal, and The Vietnam Service Medal with 3 stars, were among the many medals he had earned during his dynamic career. He is survived by his Brother Edward Cowles and Jeannie Cowles, his children Robin, Patrick and Michael and his grandchildren Nicola, Roxanne, Melvin, Vincent, Ryan and Jacob. You can pay your respects by attending the viewing to be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home Gulf Breeze Florida from 6-8:00 PM on Wednesday evening, December 5th. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday morning, December 6th, at 10:00 AM at St Sylvester's Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway with a visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment with Full Military Honors will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Air Station at 12:30 PM, Thursday.
