Smsgt. James Fox, Usaf (Ret.)

SMSgt. James F. Fox, USAF (ret.), Age 64, of Dothan, AL was called home March 23, 2002.  He was born July 23, 1957 in Providence, RI to the late Joanne Landry Laferiere.  After high school he completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science.  He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran retiring with over 25 years of service.  James was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.  His 11 grandchildren and his dogs were his greatest joy.

James is preceded in death by his parents, James Frederick Fox and Joanne Laferiere; his animals, dog Bear and cat Jake.  Those left with fond memories are his former wife, Deana Fox; children, Christopher James Fox, Aaron Michael Fox, Matthew David Fox, and Sarah Theresa Lynn Fox; brother, Rick Fox; sister, Susan Stefanyk; grandchildren, Mikaila Renee Fox, Haley Nicole Fox, Christopher Matthew Fox, Tristen Andrew Fox, Keaton Alan Merrifield, Emma Grace Fox, Easton Ryne Fox, Kailynn Ryan Fox, Kynlee Jane Merrifield, Madison Claire Fox, and Beckett Charles Fox; and his constant companions, dogs, Lily, Sam, and Duke.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 9:00am, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at 11:00am at Barrancas National Cemetery.
