Simon Stock, Jr.

Simon S. Stock Jr, of Gulf Breeze, died unexpectedly at Gulf Breeze Hospital on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, he was 89. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 50+ years, Rosemary A. Stock and a sister Peggy Overmiller. Simon is survived by his five sons and their families; Simon III, Michael, Robert, Jeffrey, Christopher. As well as his two sisters; Rita Turina and Sarah Ann Spizzirri. He also had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Simon was born March 6, 1927 in Gettysburg, PA and graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College, with a degree in Accounting. He proudly served as a medic in the Navy. Simon spent his career working for American Waterworks Service Corp. raising in the ranks, and retired as Comptroller of the company. Simon was a devoted father and loved his family. He held a 4th degree rank in the Knights of Columbus and was an avid model boat builder. A Rosary reading is scheduled for Monday, October 17th at 4:30 PM with a viewing and visitation to follow immediately from 5-7:00 PM, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 18th at 10:00 AM at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze.
