Shirley Smith

Shirley (Hoggard) Smith , 84, a beloved Wife, Mother, Granny and sister passed away on Monday July 25, 2011. She was born April 1,1927 in Chicago Illinois and was a long time resident of Gulf Breeze Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl O Smith. She is survived by her children Dianna Sasser, Sheri Browning, Jeri Smith, Jim Smith, Jodey McMillen and numerous grand children and great grand children. Her sisters Wanda Waters, Naomi Cook, Ruth Todd and brother James Whittaker as well as former husband Gene M Hoggard. She was the former Administrator of the Escambia County Nursing Home. A member of the New Comers Club of Greater Pensacola, The Pilot Club, Ladies of the Elks of Pensacola Beach, Ombudsman Organization, Board of Directors of the Escambia County Credit Union and Eastern Star. She was deeply loved and will be missed by many. Visitation is on Friday July 29th from 12-1pm. Funeral Services to follow from 1:30-2:30pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1751 Sea Lark, Navarre 32566.
