Shirley Shipley

Shirley Kingsland Shipley, 91 of Fort Walton Beach died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday January 8, 2014 at the Bay Breeze Nursing & Retirement Center in Gulf Breeze, FL. She was the daughter of Harold and Lucy Kingsland of Connecticut who moved to Florida with her husband, Howard Edward Shipley after World War II then to Bay Drive in 1952. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was an avid golfer and accomplished artist. She was blessed to find the love of her life, her beloved husband Howard, whom she was waiting to join in heaven for eternity. She was predeceased by her husband, and her sons, Dennis and Robert. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Fishbaugh of Milton, FL and Carol Johnson of Acworth, GA, sons, Stephen of Fort Walton Beach, and William of Norcross, GA, and a sister Merle Bixby of Fort Walton Beach. As well, she is survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Shirley will be cremated and the family will have a private service.
