Sarah Bender

Sarah Rose Delony was born on Valentines Day in 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Edwin and Margaret Delony. 

Sarah achieved a Master Degree In Education from Florida State University and used that knowledge to positively impact countless young people during her 30+ year career as a grade school teacher. Sarah married Pete Bender on June 9th, 2000, and alongside her Husband, was an avid World Traveler and enjoyed playing Tennis and Bridge when she was able. 

Sarah is preceded in Death by: Edwin Delony (father), Margaret Delony (mother) 

Sarah is survived by her husband, Alfred ‘Pete’ Bender; brother, Tim Delony; daughter, Holly Tyler; son, Julian Tyler; grandchildren-Carina & Emily; her niece, Ali Baker (Bender); and nephew, Carter Bender. 

Sarah always had a positive energy that permeated her life and affected the lives of all she held close. She was a kind, devoted, intelligent and talented woman and she will be missed.

A private celebration of life gathering will be held in remembrance of the late Sarah Bender.
