Ruth Esposito

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth Katherine Bartlett Esposito….Beloved wife of Vincent, mother to Carolee and David, Stepmother to Vince, Linda and Michael, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother.

After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s dementia, she passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones August 31st.

Ruth (Ruthie) was born in Pennsylvania, July 24, 1929 to William and Emma Bartlett.

Ruth earned her master’s degree and taught elementary school for many years. An avid lover of music, she also played the organ and sang professionally.

Her love of God, the church, her husband and family were foremost in her life. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile that lit up any room.

She is predeceased by her son David, her brother Charles (Chuck) her sister Billie and grandson David, Jr. She is survived by Vincent her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, her daughter Carolee, her sister Virginia, her step children Vincent, Linda and Michael as well as her 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and recent great great grandchild.

Rest in peace sweet Ruth, Ruthie, Kate, Nana Memaw. You will live in our hearts forever.

Visitation and Services will be held at Rose Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway Gulf Breeze, FL 32563. Visitation to begin at 12 pm with a Chapel service at 1:00pm and short Committal Service at gravesite at 2:00pm.

Following the funeral service, the family will receive visitors at the home of Vincent Esposito 8047 Charter Oaks Dr Pensacola, FL 32514 from 3pm-6pm.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association or Epiphany Lutheran Church of Pensacola.
