Ross Atkins

Ross Atkins passed away on June 6, 2009 in Gulf Breeze, FL. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 23, 1941. Shortly thereafter his family moved to Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University and Texas Christian University where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi and also where he met his wife Jayne. He was preceded in death by his mother Willie D Atkins, his father A.V. Atkins and his brother Robert Reid Atkins. Survivors include his wife; Jayne Atkins of Gulf Breeze, FL, his two daughters and sons in law, Jana and Mike Greco of Peachtree City, GA and Jill and Jeff Graves of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Christopher and Alexander Greco and Ross, Courtland and Brennan Graves. Ross was active in Young Men's Business League in Beaumont, Texas, Optimist Club of Gulf Breeze and a member of Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church where he was involved with the Fix-It-Group. Ross was known for his sociability towards all and his wonderful sense of humor. He will be sincerely missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 11th at 2:00 PM, at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church; with a reception immediately following at the church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church or a memorial of your choice.
