Rose Gless

Rose Formicola Gless of Gulf Breeze passed away on September 27, 2010 following a brief illness. She was born and raised in New York City before moving to Gulf Breeze in 1973. She will be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. After working for the New York City Telephone Company, she enjoyed a career working for the Environmental Protection Agency on Pensacola Beach, coordinating worldwide travel for the scientists for 27 years. She was actively involved with the Pensacola Beach Elks Lodge for over 3 decades. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Albert Gless and Brothers Dominic and Salvatore Formicola. She is survived by her children Artie Gless and Susan Gless Davis (Paul), Grandchildren, Ross Davis and Taylor Davis, sister Christine Misiti, daughter in law Marilyn Gless, numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend Ann "Peachie" Van Dien of CT. Pallbearers will be Paul Davis, Taylor Davis, Ross Davis, Bryan Goodwin, Rick Sarli and Grey Cleveland. Rose was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be Friday, October 1, 2010 at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at Rose Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pensacola Humane Society.
