Marilyn Rose DeLapp 1935 - 2010 Marilyn Rose DeLapp was born in Pensacola, FL on October 20, 1935, She went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband Richard on September 14, 2010, surrounded by her family and friends. She was a long time resident of Gulf Breeze, FL. Marilyn was a devoted wife of 55 years and a loving mother and Nana, not only to her own children, but to everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She made everyone feel like family, and no one left her house hungry. She loved sitting on her porch at Lagniappe Beach, watching the sunset and the mullet jump. We will all miss our mullet sentry. Marilyn is preceded by her parents and her husband Richard D. DeLapp, Sr. She is survived by her three sons, Richard D. DeLapp, Jr. (Margo), Gregory F. DeLapp (Joanne), and Jon Matthew DeLapp (Wendy); her five grandchildren, Cassie, Hannah, Elijah, Augustina, and Genevieve; her brothers, Walter "Buddy" Meseroll and Howard Meseroll; her sister, Carolyn "Kaki" Knabb; and numerous nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held at Rose Lawn Funerl Home from 2pm-4pm on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 on Monday, September 20, 2010 at St. Sylvester's Catholic Church in Navarre, followed by burial at Barrancas National Cemetery. Those who will serve as pallbearers/honorary pallbearers are Tony Barberi, Chase Barberi, Brock Barberi, Mike Marshall, Jimmy Falbo, Jim Hegerich, D.C. Horne, Butch Maddingly, David Simpson, Steve Chrisco, and Allan Senechek. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be sent to Covenant Hospice at www.covenanthospice.org.
