Mrs. Rosa Anna Mize, age 92, of Pensacola Beach, Florida, died at her residence on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Mrs. Mize was born on May 13, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, to Nicholas and Armida Pasqualino. She was long time resident of the Gulf Breeze area. She worked as a bookkeeper for AT&T in New York for several years along with being a housewife and mother. She was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was also a devoted choir member along with other activities at the church. She was an artist that painted with water colors.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert J. Mize; sons Timothy and John Mize; son-in-law Douglas Clauson; and grandson Daniel J. Mize.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Nicholas (Karen) Mize of Pensacola Beach, Florida, Doctors James William (Kathryn) Mize of Decatur, Alabama; daughter, Rosanne Clauson of Plantation, Florida; and grandchildren, Lt. Commander R. Wesley (Tess) Mize, USN, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Amanda K. (Blake) Leigan of Springhill, Florida, Dr. Nicholas (Kretta) Mize of Athens, Georgia, Benjamin Mize and Dr. Juliana Mize, CRNA, of Decatur, Alabama, Eric Clauson of Plantation, Florida; great-granddaughter, and Lillian Blythe Mize of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Funeral Services are private by invitation due to concern of COVID-19 transmission. Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5401 North 12th Avenue Pensacola, Florida 32504, or the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org/donate.
