Ronald Crooker

Ronald E. Crooker 1928 - 2010 Ronald E. Crooker, age 82, of Gulf Breeze passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010. He grew up in Dumont, NJ, the son of Mervyn and Catherine Crooker. He loved hunting, fishing, the game of golf, and a young lady named Maureen, whom he married in 1949. They had two daughters. After leaving the Marine Corps, he graduated from the Academy of Aeronautics at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. He later joined Sikorsky Aircraft and was a Field Service Representative and Supervisor. Ron's job kept him and his family on the move for almost 32 years , until illness forced him to retire. He was a resident of Gulf Breeze for 37 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maureen, and daughters Claudia and Karen. His granddaughters Rachel and Hannah will certainly miss their "Grumpa"! His loving sister, Thelma, and brother-in-law, Charlie have provided much support to Ron and his family throughout the years. The family gives special thanks to faithful friends, Bill McCrary, Dan and Linda Libertino as well as his immediate caregivers at Gulf Breeze Courtyard. The kind folks at Emerald Coast Hospice and the Special Care Assistant Debbie Sperandio helped Ron and his family through a difficult time. May God bless all of them, as Ron's life blessed ours!
