Roman Stanley

Roman Chester Stanley, 85, of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away April 17, 2012. He was born August 6, 1926, in Lynn Massachusetts. He was a US Navy Veteran. He graduated from Dartmouth College and became a physicist at the Navy Lab in Panama City, Florida, where he worked for 30 years helping to develop equipment to find and sweep for ocean mines. After retiring he moved to North Carolina where he enjoyed tennis, biking, hiking and hunting wild mushrooms. He returned to Florida in 2002. He is survived by his son, Roman S Stanley and his brother Thaddeus Stanley. A Memorial Service will be in the chapel of Rose Lawn Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2012.
