Roberta Ballou

Mrs. Roberta M. Ballou, 93 of Gulf Breeze, FL died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Gulf Breeze Courtyard. Mrs. Ballou was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Burns of Pensacola, FL and the wife of the late LCDR Thomas Bransford Ballou, USN, Ret., of Gulf Breeze, FL. She was predeceased by four brothers: Raymond F. Burns, William E. Burns, Robert E. Burns and Gerald E. Burns. Mrs. Ballou is survived by her children: Capt. Thomas Bransford Ballou, Jr., USN, Ret. and his wife Patricia Macready Ballou of New Braunfels, TX, William Edward Ballou and his wife Cheryl Flaherty Ballou of Gulf Breeze, FL, Cynthia Ballou Laugelli and her husband George Joseph Laugelli, Frederick MD, and Richard Dunn Ballou of Richmond, VA. Mrs. Ballou "Grandmom" will be greatly missed by her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren: Thomas Bransford Ballou, III, Benjamin Joseph Laugelli, Heather Lee Ballou, Amy Christine Laugell, Amara Joy Ballou, Cynthia Leah Ballou, William Edward Ballou III, Kelly Lynn Ballou, Christopher Alen Severt, Josephine Marie Laugelli, Logan Eligah Jade Wilson, Luke Edward Jessie Wilson, Ada Katharine Laugelli, Leah Darcey Ballou and Jude Bransord Laugelli. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home with burial at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Naval Air Station, 91 Radford Blvd., No. 191, Pensacola, FL 32508-5244. While living in Norfolk, VA, Mrs. Ballou was an active member of the Navy Wives Association.
