Robert Widenhouse

Robert "Bob" Wayne Widenhouse Sr. passed away on September 16, 2008. Bob is survived by his wife Patsy of 57 years, three children, Sarah W (Todd) Ellisor, Martha Roche' and Robert (Karen) Widenhouse Jr.; three grandchildren, Melissa W (Eric) Disher, Jessica Roche' and Frederick (Freddy)R Widenhouse and one great granddaughter, Grace Irene Disher. Bob is also survived by three brothers Gene, Jimmy and Bufort and one sister, Frances. Bob was born on January 14, 1934 in Kannapolis, NC. He dutifully served the United States Marine Corps for 24 years. Bob then entered banking and became a leader and Rotarian in the Beaufort, SC community. He also built quality homes with his son Robert. In 2002 Bob "officially" retired to Pensacola, FL. Bob, fondly known as Granddad, will be sorely missed by all the children's lives he touched, whether it was on the volleyball court , the skating rink or the church nursery, the world will be a lesser place. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Chapel-Gulf Breeze, 1140 Harrison Avenue, Gulf Breeze, FL, on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM; Internment will be held at later date at the National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
