Robert Symonds

Dr. Robert Joseph Symonds, 69, of Pensacola Beach, FL, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.  Robert was born, in Ft. Wayne, IN, on March 6, 1955.  

Dr. Robert Symonds embraced life's journey with curiosity, perseverance, and wisdom.  He was a lifelong learner who took pride in his academic achievements, earning a doctorate in business administration later in life.  As a teacher, he found joy in seeing "the lightbulbs turn on," in others.  As a Director of Project Management, he excelled at bringing people together.  His work took him around the world and he made lasting friendships that became his family.  His passions ranged from exploring family history to capturing life through photography.  Robert also loved music, from orchestral symphonies to tropical melodies.  For all the experiences life had given him, his greatest happiness was simply watching the sunset over the ocean.  

Dr. Symonds was preceded in death by his mom, Frances Symonds, father, Byron Symonds, and sister, Judy Budreau.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Embry, sons, Christopher and Michael Symonds, brother, James Symonds.
