Bob Claud, 80, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday, January 4, 2014. He was born to Eula George Wilcox and William O'Neal Claud on April 22, 1933 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Duncan Prepatory School. He went to Vanderbilt University on a football scholarship for his freshman year of college. The next year he joined the Navy and earned his wings at Pensacola NAS. He also served the Tennessee National Guard after the Korean War. He returned home to earn a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech. He married Wilma Claud in 1966 and they moved to Huntsville, Alabama where they had two sons. In Huntsville, he became a leading salesman for Jostens, Brodart, University Products and other companies. In 1978, they moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida where he started his own business in library services. He was a successful businessman, a strong provider and a loving husband and father. He loved the Navy, football and the " American Dream." He was a tireless worker worker who embraced life every day. May he rest in peace. Bob is survived by his wife Wilma, sons Robert Jr. (Bobby) and Scott ( Mac ), and granddaughter Victoria. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze.
