Rebecca Rockett

Rebecca Allen Rockett of Gulf Breeze, Florida, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on March 18th, 1960 in Birmingham, AL. Becky graduated from Hueytown High School, Birmingham, AL., and continued her education at the University of Alabama. She married John Colmant Rockett, III on October 16, 1989, in a beautiful ceremony at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Birmingham, AL. She and her husband then fulfilled a lifelong dream of hers and moved their family to Gulf Breeze, FL. in 2003. She loved the beach. Watching her son, John, surf on Pensacola Beach and playing tennis with her friends, were both passions for Becky. She is survived by her loving husband, John Colmant Rockett, III, son, John Colmant Rockett, IV, parents, Claude Maurice (Betty) Allen of Hueytown, AL, brother, David S. (Mary Jane) Allen, nieces, Mary Elizabeth Allen and Kathryn Allen, Birmingham, AL; mother-in-law Margaret MacQueen Murray, Fairhope, AL., sister-in-law, Grace Rockett, Mobile, AL, brother-in-law, James (Robin) Rockett, Spanish Fort, AL., and uncle, Julian (Kim) MacQueen, and cousins, Skye MacQueen, Los Angeles, CA. and Jonathan MacQueen, Atlanta, GA. The family wishes to thank all of Becky's friends for their love and support. Memorial Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, in Gulf Breeze, FL., on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11a.m. The Reverend Christiana Olsen will officiate.
