Raymond Gimbut

Raymond A. Gimbut, age 100, of Pensacola Beach, FL passed away on November 7, 2021. He was born on September 24, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY.

Raymond served in the US Navy during World War II and also served with the Merchant Marines.  He retired from the US Postal Service after a long career as a Postal Carrier. He enjoyed golfing and watching football and baseball.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Gimbut.  Survivors include 8 children, 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a new grandchild on the way in January.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at St. Ann Catholic Church of Gulf Breeze with Monsignor Luke Hunt officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY. Friends may call at St. Ann Gulf Breeze from 10-11:00 am on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
