Randel (Randy) Kenneth Halsall, 59, a loving Father and Husband, died at home on August 21, 2009, after a valiant battle against cancer and lymphedema. Born on October 24th, 1949, in Toronto, Canada, Randy was an athlete throughout his life. He attended Wake Forest University where he helped his team win the ACC Championship. Later Randy returned to Canada where his talents won him a place in the Canadian Football League and an opportunity to play in the Grey Cup. Using his athletic talents Randy found his success in life as a personal trainer and body builder. Randy is survived by his wife Leslie Oliver Halsall, son Randall Llewellyn Halsall, age 8, as well as daughters Jennifer H. Wilson and Andie H. Boyd; sons-in-law Jeff Wilson and Ryan Boyd; Granddaughter Cathryn Kelly Wilson, age 2; Sister Debbie H. Fava and her partner, Arthur Dale Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents Ken and Jean Halsall. He also had a close and special relation with Barbara and Lew Oliver, his Mother and Father-in-law. He will be missed. In his memory, Randy's children will place flowers on his casket. In lieu of additional flowers, the family requests that memorials in his honor be made to Good Sheppard Lutheran School, 4257 Gulf Breeze, Florida 32563 to thank them for all of their support and help in Randy's "final game". A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday August 24, at Rose Lawn Cemetery, 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway.
