Preston Lee "Ike" Lewis, devoted husband, treasured father and great friend passed away peacefully with his family by his side, November 7, 2012. Ike was born July 10, 1932, in Frederick, Maryland, to Mason Lee Marlow (Turk) Lewis and Katherine Marie Baker Lewis. In 1956, Ike married Sharon Frey of Brunswick, Maryland. They were married fifty three wonderful years, and were blessed with 3 children. Preston Lee Lewis, II, also known as Mike (Liz), Stephen Edward Lewis (Terri), and Sharon "Sherry" Lewis Armstrong (Cliff). He is also survived by five grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth Light (Michael), Stephen Gregory Lewis, Melissa Marie Lewis, Clifford Ryan Armstrong, and Robert Joseph Armstrong, and a special great-grandson Zain Preston Light. Ike also leaves behind siblings - Betty Lewis Roach; Kenneth "Poppy" Lewis (JoAnne); Donald Wayne Lewis (Peggy); and Candace Marie Lewis; sisters-in-law Joanne Sigafoose Bullock (Chuck) and Cynthia Sigafoose Hebb (Gary); several nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends and neighbors. Ike graduated Brunswick High School in 1951 and enlisted in the US Air Force in 1952, honorably serving his country until retirement in 1975. Upon retirement from the Air Force the Lewis family settled in the city of Gulf Breeze, Florida; where Ike spent 20 years as a Delchamps' store manager and 14 years as produce associate at WalMart. , Ike was a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, FL, and devoted to supporting various charities. He was an active member of Pensacola Numismatic Society and enjoyed his yard work. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012, from 5 to 7 PM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, November 16, 2012, at Saint Ann Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
