Peggy Russ

 Mrs. Peggy Voncille (Broxson) Russ, 86 of Bonifay, FL, and formerly of Pensacola, FL, entered heavens gates rejoicing on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

 Peggy was born in Holley-Navarre, Florida, on January 17, 1938, to the late Lonnie C. and Nellie Idell Broxson of Gulf Breeze, FL.

 Funeral services will be 10 am, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, FL with Pastor J.B. Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery with Rose Lawn Funeral Home directing. The family visitation will be from 5 pm until 7 pm, Monday, October 21, 2024, at the funeral home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 1330 South Blvd, Chipley, FL 32428 or to the Holmes County Council on Aging, 210 W. Kansas Avenue, Bonifay, FL 32425. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, James (Tony) Manis, Joshua Parazine, Donnie Schmitz, Jr, Will Russ, Aaron Petty, and Howard Griffin.

 Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie C. and Nellie Idell Broxson; son, John K. Russ; sister, Sandra Sue Broxson-Mcquade; brothers, William Monroe Broxson and Donald Clay Broxson.

 Survivors include daughters, Gina Russ, Chipley, FL and Nicole Merrill (Jim), Bonifay, FL; sons, Edward Russ (Sandra), Yahala, FL, Bobby Russ (Charlene), Bokeelia, FL, and David Russ, Pensacola, FL; sisters, Selma Avon Reeder, Milton, FL, Eunice Mae Bennett, Walker, LA, Betty Joyce Millsaps, Blue Ridge, GA, Glenda Broxson, Pensacola, FL, and JoAnn Bailey, OK; brothers, Donnie Broxson, Pace, FL, Adron Jerry Broxson (Liz), Mobile, AL, and James Broxson (Carmen), Dothan, AL; 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. 

 The family would like to extend a heartfelt, Thank You to Emerald Coast Hospice of Chipley, FL, for their kindness, care and compassion provided for their momma; we were truly blessed with a great care team.
