Paul Blakeburn

Paul Blakeburn, 81, passed away of natural causes at his home in Gulf Breeze on December 6, 2022.  Paul retired from the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service after serving as a diplomat in countries including Russia, Cote d’Ivoire and Malaysia.  He was also a veteran, beginning his career in the 1960’s with the U.S Army in Germany.  A lifelong traveler, birder, avid reader and student of politics, Paul will be missed dearly by his family and the many friends he leaves behind.  He is survived by Linda Bogiages, his sister Lois (Alfred) Hobby, his niece Elizabeth (Michael) Mondello and nephew Matthew (Marilyn) Hobby, and their children.  A private service will be held.
