Patricia Rappa

Patricia Rappa "Miss Pat" Patricia Antonelli Rappa, 67 of Hockessin, DE., passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008. Patricia was born in South Philadelphia, PA on June 22, 1940, daughter of the late Louis and Frances (Bagette) Antonelli. She was educated in South Philadelphia Catholic School and was a 1958 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School. Patricia resided in Delaware County, PA during the 19 60's, Gulf Breeze, Fl during the 1970's and made the Pike Creek area of Wilmington, DE her home since 1980. Miss Pat, as she was affectionately known by many, was a professional dancer and dance instructor throughout her life, the highlight of her career being a performance for President Nixon. She owned and operated dance academies within each area of her residency, the Patrice School of Dance in Folcroft, PA the Pensacola Academy of Dance in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze, FL and the Pike Creek Academy of Dance in Wilmington, DE. She held annual dance recitals at the Three Little Bakers Dinner Theater and was involved with the coaching of Mrs. Delaware Pageant contestants. In recent years Miss Pat lent her talent teaching special needs children the art of dance, and was also active in the Delaware Holly Dazzle Event. In addition to her career in dance, she was also a licensed real estate broker. Above all, Patricia was a kind, Christian person who possessed a great faith in God. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her. Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Charles Rappa and his wife, Susan, Cyndi Rappa Gravlee and her husband, William and David Rappa and his wife, Maryann; her grandchildren, Charles Rappa, Trey Gravlee, Lauren Rappa and Amanda Rappa; and her great grandchildren. Charles Rappa and Hannah Rappa. The funeral service will be conducted at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Rd, Pike Creek on Wednesday, April 2 at 6PM. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 4-6PM. Local Arrangements there will be visitation, Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Rose Lawn funeral Home from 10:00 – 11:00a.m. and Burial Christian Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze, Fl. Burial will be followed after mass to Bayview Cemetery, Pensacola, Fl. Local Arrangements by Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze, Fl.
