Patricia Gail Oaks of Navarre FL., born on October 13, 1947 in Knoxville Tennessee, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior and reunited with her beloved husband Jerry on November 28th,2020.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Oaks; parents, Clarence and Lucille Hood; sisters, Eleanor Ratliff and Dorothy McHarge and granddaughter Tiffini Henderson.
She is survived by her 3 children; Kimberly McLaughlin (Kriss), Jerry Oaks (Dana) and Kristina Oaks of Navarre. 8 grandchildren; Aleshia Robbins, Kasi Dent, Dusten Henderson, Triston Henderson, Ivey Oaks, Taylor Oaks and Logan Oaks. 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family whom she held dear.
Gail was a nurse in Tennessee where she met her husband while caring for him after a car accident. Marrying shortly thereafter, they were together until Jerry’s death in 2008.
Gail was a long-time resident in Navarre and drove the School Bus for Santa Rosa County FL where she retired after 22 years of service.
Gail loved to sing and had a magnificent, melodic voice that drew the listener in with every note. She sang and Jerry played the guitar, together they lived and were loved by so many. Your laugh, your kindness, your heart will be remembered forever and greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 10:00am, until the service begins at 11:00am, on Saturday, December 05, 2020 at Rose Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery 2942 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze FL 32563. A private interment will follow where she will be placed next to her beloved husband Jerry.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Gail's funeral expenses. You may contact the funeral home at (850) 932-9192 to contribute. They will accept contributions until the balance is satisfied.
