Patricia Burnett

Patricia A. Burnett age 86, of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. She was born Patricia Ann Harnett in Mt. Vernon, New York, July 4th, 1931, and raised her family in Syracuse until relocating to Gulf Breeze in 1979. She embraced her life as a wife and homemaker to her 5 children.

Pat held several positions in the hospitality industry in the Pensacola area including at the Naval Air Station Officer's Club, and was the Manager of Food Service at the San Carlos Hotel in Pensacola. She always stayed active in the community, belonging to the Pensacola Beach Women's Club, the Elk's Lodge in Pensacola Beach, and was an avid bridge player.

Once Pat and her husband George became empty-nesters, they enjoyed travelling all over the country in their travel trailer, and they always planned their trips to spend time with friends and family. Her grandchildren will always have fond memories of camping with Nana and Papa. Being born on the 4th of July, Pat always thought the fireworks were for her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband George, son Thomas, and her parents, James J. Harnett and Loretta (Madden) Harnett.

She is survived by children Richard Burnett of Gulf Breeze, FL, Tim (Sherry) Burnett of Lake Worth, FL, daughter Barbara (Paul) Pascutti of Atlanta, GA, and David (Karen) Burnett of Lakeland, FL.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Ryan Burnett, Melissa Gordon, Stephanie Burnett, Michael and Kristina Pascutti, Cody and Devin Burnett, and great grandchildren Sydney and Chase Gordon.

Pat also leaves behind her brother Richard (Maru) Harnett, her sister Rita (Peter) Bergamo, and nieces Peg Sullivan, Teri Ward, and Tricia White.

A Celebration of Patricia's Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 25th at St. Ann's Catholic Church at 100 Daniel Street in Gulf Breeze, followed by a luncheon at the church.
