Neal Mcvickers

Neal Edward McVickers, age 87, of Robertsdale, AL died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at his home. He was preceded in death by his former wife Virginia and parents Kornelious and Tony McVickers. Neal was proud of serving his country as a Sgt 1st class in the U S Army during WWII, receiving numerous awards and commendations. He was one of many serving under the direction of Gen George Patton. Neal was a Baptist by faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Foley. Neal is survived by his wife Dorothy Faye McVickers, son, John (Sharon) McVickers, daughter, Gail McVickers (Roger) Kingry, son, Jack (Gwen) McVickers. Grandchildren: Donald, Neal Jr., Claire (David), Lawrence, Joshua (Jessica) and Seth. Great-grandchildren: Adam, Katherine and Ethan, Step Grandchildren, Cassandra Johnson and Johnny Coppett. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Thursday, September 25, 2008 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Rose Lawn Funeral Home in Gulf Breeze, FL. A graveside service with US Army Honors will be held at the Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery in Pensacola following the visitation.
