Muriel White

Muriel Castello White, Age 87, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, died peacefully on Friday, March 4, 2022.  She was born October 14, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York.  Beloved wife to the late William S. White; loving mother to Robin Gadwa (Leo), Carol Poterek, Diana Beard (Jeff), and Carol McGill (Tom); treasured grandmother of Rachel Rose (Eli), Danielle Mahan (Cullen), Alex Poterek and Matthew Maurer; and great grandchildren Declan, Hunter, Jacob, Annalise, Emily, Kali and Indiana.  Survived by her brother, Michael Castello (RoseAnn), sister-in-law Marylyn “Pat” Mullen; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.  Muriel lived in Troy, Michigan, and was the Membership Secretary for the Birmingham YMCA for 20 years before retiring with her late husband, Bill, to Gulf Breeze.

Interment will be in Uncasville, Connecticut at the Mohegan Sacred Burial Grounds.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Muriel’s name to Emerald Coast Hospice.
